The project included a renovation of the historic NECCO Candy Factory located on the Fort Point Channel for decades.

    • Five-story complete renovation accustomed to the needs of General Electric corporate headquarters.
    • Installations included a full fire alarm system, telecommunications, power distribution, and various lighting control systems.
    • Executive offices and a roof deck overlooking the Fort Point channel.

The project included several design changes mid construction which led to a tight schedule and challenging effort by our site team with peak manpower of 100+ Electricians
 

Project Overview


    • Originally built in 1910, formally Polaroid Corp.
    • Redevelopment included renovations and additions to the existing structures, creating about 211,000 sq ft. of laboratory facilities, office space, and a 130-car below-grade parking garage, while respecting the historic facade of the previous structure.
    • The MITIMCO project was a core-shell, followed by a tenant fit-out for the engine, shaping into a space where academia, industry partners, and the extended community can gather and collaborate.

Project Scope:


The project included several design changes mid construction which led to a tight schedule and challenging effort by our site team.

Project Overview


    • Ground up construction of a four-story building providing more than 25 state of the art general use classrooms, faculty and staff offices, as well as specialized art, chemistry and performing arts spaces.
    • The build out also included a 150-seat recital hall, four 150-200 seat lecture halls and a 500-seat auditorium.
    • Lynnwell completed the electrical install of all power, new switchgear, lighting and lighting controls, theatrical lighting, new fire alarm system, security system, telecommunications system, and Audio-Visual system.
DFCI Merrimack Valley

DFCI Merrimack Valley

Project Scope:


The project included a fast-track 8-month schdeule that was compressed 10 weeks to accommodate Dana Farber’s occupancy requirements. Complex systems that are unique to Dana Farber were also added too our scope, which required a massive team effort amongst all trades in order to hit key timeline milestones.
 

Project Overview


    • Renovation of existing office space for a new outpatient facility which includes 24 exam rooms and 32 infusion bays.
    • Among its many features, the facility included a specialty Clean Room lab. The clean room is a fully modular, prefabricated system, inclusive of walls, ceiling and ceiling suspension which required pinpoint accuracy for our power and lighting install.
    • Lynnwell completed the install of all life safety power, new switchgear with four transfer switches, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm system, security system, telecommunications system, Audio Visual system, CAMS system, RTLS system and Nurse Call system.

Project Overview


    • The Ragon Institute, an MGH, MIT, and Harvard-affiliated research center for immune system diseases, is a new research facility and lab space building.
    • The facility will be approximately 50% wet laboratory and 50% office pace. The building includes three floors of BSL2/BSL2+ labs, one floor of BSL3 labs, a vivarium, procedure spaces, issue culture rooms, and community circulation spaces, and a two-level underground parking garage.
    • Electric Distribution- 13.8 1200A 15kv Eyersource gear, 2- 1.25MVA (2000a) generators, 4000a 480v normal power switchgear line-ups,125 distribution/branch panelboards installed, 32 Transformers installed, Dual rooftop generators.

    • Fire alarm has vesda systems, smoke control, area of rescue, fire alarm system, and BDA throughout the building.

    • Lighting — The installation of 4175 light fixtures with a Lutron lighting control system as well as landscape and deck lighting.
Harvard University, Gore Hall Complex Complex, Cambridge, MA

Project Scope:


Upfront planning with the GC allowed the core shell and fit out of Beren Hall to be completed eight months early.

Project Overview


    • Aggressive 15-month renovation of a historic Harvard University residence hall and two wood framed houses totaling over 100,000 sq. ft.
    • Including new construction of Beren Hall, a five-story addition which served as the “brains” for the complex.
    • Lynnwell completed the electrical install of all power, new switchgear, new lighting and lighting controls, backup generator, new fire alarm system and data communications system.

UMass Boston General Academic Building #1

Project Scope:


The UMass Boston General Academic Building #1 is the second new academic building in the UMass Boston Master Plan. Featuring more the 25 General-use classrooms, a multi-media studio classroom, four 150-200 discussion halls and a 500 seat lecture hall. This project included all new services; power, mechanical, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications.

RTH Riverway Residential

Project Scope:


Our team provided electrical installation services for this 11-story, 145-unit high rise residential building, newly constructed along Boston’s Riverway. The project required extensive coordination with the general contractor and other trades in order to meet an aggressive schedule within a tight work footprint.

Alkermes Inc.

Project Scope:


Our team collaborated on the fit-out of the Alkermes pharmaceutical laboratory and headquarters facility. Efforts included special consideration for the requirements of this sensitive work environment, including an emergency power distribution system.
